About me

Hi, I’m Sachie. I grew up in Fukuoka (southern Japan) and moved to the United States for college (Bachelor of Economics from Scripps; MBA from UCLA). I’m a business development & customer success specialist.

I worked for both the Japanese government and private sectors in Tokyo. After completing an MBA, I joined a family startup in Los Angeles, which we successfully sold to a venture-backed company. Now I am a freelancer, working with US companies to develop their business in Japan. I’m always excited to meet startups and hear what they’re doing! 

When not working, I’m an avid gardener. I live in sunny San Diego, California, with my husband and our two amazing kids.
